2023 – A year in the limelight

As we prepare to wrap up the year, we take a look at how Brill Power made the news in 2023 and share our exclusive outlook on the EV market for 2024.

21st December 2023, Oxford, UK – Recently, Dr Andy Palmer CMG, who joined us as chairperson in August (see announcement in Reuters Business here), shared his views with Reuters about the need to strategize the transition to electric vehicles by focusing on affordable vehicles amidst the rise of living costs. Christoph also participated in the Unreasonable Impact World Forum organised by Unreasonable and Barclays in London in November. This year’s theme was ‘Innovation at scale: Empowering the world’s problem solvers’. The event is a gathering of growth-stage ventures that are tackling social and environmental challenges. Companies working on solving the most pressing challenges profitably are introduced to a diverse community of mentors and investors who will accelerate their growth through funding, ideation and collaboration. The event also saw us mentioned as one of the most promising high growth ventures on Ian King’s Sky News Business Live programme when Daniel Epstein, Founder and Chief Executive of the Unreasonable Group and Daniel Hanna, Global Head of Sustainable Finance at Barclays CIB were interviewed. That wasn’t our only chat to the team at Barclays as we were also interviewed in the Disruptive podcast by Barclays Eagle Lab. CFO and co-founder, Carolyn Hicks talked to Katherine Morgan about scaling a business with the potential to disrupt an industry.
