Oxford, 8 August 2024 – Smart battery pioneer, Brill Power has announced a strategic partnership with Fellten, a manufacturer of advanced battery packs. The collaboration aims to deliver competitive, high-quality battery solutions for automotive, stationary and marine applications by integrating Brill Power’s Universal Operating System (BrillOS) into Fellten’s innovative battery systems.

BrillOS is the first future-proof, highly portable, chemistry-agnostic operating system for batteries. The partnership will enhance Fellten’s production capabilities, enabling faster market access and supporting the UK Battery Strategy to build supply chain resilience in the transition to battery electric vehicle (BEV) production.

Thanks to its global distribution, Fellten’s conversion systems are tested and used across the world in some of the most challenging terrains and conditions, both for OEM and aftermarket applications. Its systems and battery packs are used not only in vehicles but also in marine and energy storage applications, areas that Brill Power’s expertise covers.

Key highlights of this partnership include: 

• Flexibility: BrillOS can be adapted to any existing system, supporting various battery chemistries, including Lithium-ion and sodium-ion. Fellten’s flexible firmware works with all types of Battery Management Systems (BMS), enhancing this adaptability.
• Scalability: As Fellten increases production volume, BrillOS can easily scale to meet expanding or oversized operations, providing value to Fellten’s customers.
• Maximum accuracy: BrillOS ensures precise monitoring of battery safety, state of charge, state of health, and power capability with over-the-air updates, minimising maintenance needs.
